Job Title: Onboarding / Education Nurse (Part-Time)
Location: Traveling between several National Home Health’s Branches set days of the week
Job Description:
National Home Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Onboarding / Education Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is crucial in ensuring that new nurses are effectively onboarded and educated on the company's standards, protocols, and expectations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for traveling between two office locations on designated days to provide comprehensive training and support to newly hired nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Introduction and Orientation:
o Welcome new nurses to National Home Health Services, Inc.
o Provide an overview of the company’s mission, values, and expectations.
o Introduce company protocols and standards to ensure consistent and high-quality care.
o Conduct in-depth training on OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) assessments.
o Explain the proper procedures for completing OASIS assessments accurately.
- Functional Status Assessment:
o Educate new nurses on the correct methods for assessing patients’ functional status.
o Emphasize the importance of accurate assessments in achieving successful outcomes and reducing re-hospitalizations.
o Teach new nurses the correct way to complete visit notes.
o Guide on setting up and following visit frequencies.
o Highlight the importance of obtaining and adhering to MD orders.
- Time Management and Compliance:
o Instruct new nurses on effective daily planning and time management techniques.
o Train on the use of time-tracking software.
o Ensure compliance with California labor policies regarding overtime and lunch breaks.
- Clinical Skills Assessment:
o Evaluate the basic clinical skills of new nurses.
o Document assessments and provide feedback.
o Facilitate a warm hand-off of new hires to resource nurses for field visits.
o Be available to answer any post-field visit questions from new hires.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in home health nursing.
- Previous experience in nurse education or training preferred.
- Strong understanding of OASIS assessments and home health protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel between two office locations on set days of the week.
- Proficiency in time-tracking software and understanding of CA labor policies.

- Part-time position with travel required between two office locations on designated days.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
