FTE 3rd Shift FRI-SUN 6A-630P
A Materials Handler will complete tasks that help production and the warehouse run smoothly. This individual will move materials from the warehouse racks to the work systems, return unused materials to the racks, and record each movement in the system. The Materials Handler helps with inventory accuracy by reporting discovered inaccuracies and helping with cycle counting.
KEY DUTIES OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Record material movement within and between warehouses. Any item moved physically must be moved electronically in Fishbowl
- Operate forklift, reach truck, hand truck or other equipment to move and store goods.
- Ensures efficiency by using the production schedule and pulling materials from inventory, delivering materials and supplies where needed, and retrieving finished product when completed.
- Locate materials and supplies using Fishbowl. Items pulled are from the scheduled item batch sheet.
- Maintains in-process inventory levels at systems by delivering materials and supplies throughout the production run before they run out.
- Returns unused material and supplies to the warehouse after a production run; verify materials, lot numbers, and quantities.
- Must be certified to use material-handling equipment and follows operator maintenance activities
- Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
- Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
- Assist in inventory cycle counts.
- Assist in shrink wrapping finished goods, assemble finished product containers and crates.
- Knowledge of safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and handling of hazardous materials.
- Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· 1 + years relevant experience preferred
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
· High School Diploma
· Forklift Certification
ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills
· Self-motivated and ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time
· May be required to work a flexible schedule, occasional mandatory overtime
· Arrive to work on time and work entire shift as scheduled
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Prolonged sitting and standing.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs
