Job Summary:
The IT Specialist will be responsible for configuring and managing network devices, supporting end-users, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Execute configurations for routers, switches, wireless APs, and WLAN controllers
- Rebuild and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring it is up to date and secure.
- Monitor network performance, identify irregularities, and troubleshoot various network issues.
- Provide end user support and collaborate with staff and outside vendors to resolve complex problems.
- Install, configure, operate, and maintain Operating Systems.
- Conduct ongoing cybersecurity maintenance on information systems.
- Support mobile devises and manage mobile device inventory.
- Participate in new projects and modernization efforts by researching software and hardware solutions.
- Help identify requirements and assist in the approval process for hardware/software solutions.
- Perform Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configurations on Windows, Linux, and network-based technologies.
- Carry out network performance monitoring, planning, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
- Work as a team member to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
- Troubleshoot various network issues, affect solutions, and collaborate with staff and outside vendors to resolve complex problems.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of customer service, with the ability to listen carefully and determine problem solutions or escalation paths.
- Ability to provide technical training to nontechnical end users.
- Demonstrated knowledge of system security certification and accreditation policies, directives, regulations, and instructions for government AIS networks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred. Proven experience and certifications will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with firewall deployments, IPsec, and SharePoint Administration.
- Active Secret clearance.
