Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient requests within the expected turnaround time, including patient inquiries and coordinating appointments
- Maintain compliance with any clinical or administrative competencies
- Upholds, maintains and promotes an environment of team work, professionalism and resourcefulness
- Process incoming referrals, contacting and scheduling patient appointments
- Triage incoming phone calls; distribute or resolve as needed
- Complies and enforces all policies and procedures related to the position, the department and the company.
- Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values.
- Maintain electronic medical records in accordance with HIPPA guidelines.
- Adheres to organizational policy with attention to standards of conduct and to confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA.
- Prepare patients for provider visits by reviewing medications, health history, vitals and documenting findings
- Assist provider with patient education.
- Prepare and maintain medical supplies and equipment for all examinations and procedures.
- In office, may require some travel to assist as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a medical clinic, both front and back-office experience preferred
- Must have reliable transportation & valid driver's license
- Previous wound care experience a plus
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable on phones
- eClinicalWorks experience preferred
- Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate multitasking ability
