Position Summary:
This position is a high quality business development and relationship management role that ensures that the career needs of the student and employment outcomes of the College are achieved. Bryant & Stratton Career Services Advisors will be responsible for assisting the in developing strategies, developing long range strategic plans, implementing tactics and assisting with managing the internal operations of the Career Services department to ultimately achieve Career Services goals and objectives consistent with the mission, vision and values of the College. The Career Services Advisor will help to ensure the relevant career, student, business development and relationship management outcomes are achieved and partner with the Career Services Manager to provide leadership.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate solid relationship management/business development skills by actively engaging the local business community in an effort to initiate and cultivate employer relationships to locate leads for employment, identify future staffing needs and identify opportunities for employer interaction with Bryant & Stratton College.
- Possess pressure management skills that support the attainment of employment goals relative to in-field employment and salary.
- Ongoing design and implementation of plans to establish strategic relationships, both internally and externally, to ensure all elements of the employer imperatives are implemented and integrated into the academic experience of students.
- Demonstrate solid product knowledge in an effort to articulate value in Career Services to current and prospective relationships both internal and external.
- Demonstrate a mastery of Excel, and the collection and analysis of statistical data.
- Possess the ability to effectively manage internal relationships that impact the career preparedness of the student by occasionally providing counseling and instruction in interviewing, resume preparation, job application, pre-interview preparation and job acceptance negotiation that matches applicant’s objectives. Monitor the integration of Career Services into student’s educational experience. Coach/advise students in developing personal marketing strategies to secure a job and negotiate a fair compensation package.
- Collect and maintain data/status of job orders with daily/weekly contact and follow up with employers. Utilize College resources to manage and articulate business development outcomes and progress.
- Maintain internal reports assessing department performance relevant to key performance indicators.
- Work with other campus associates towards achieving campus-wide goals and objectives.
- Participate in community events and professional associations, promoting the college to area employers and influencers.
- Work collaboratively with Career Services Manager to ensure needs of employers are effectively matched with skills/qualifications of grads and interns.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Career Services Manager.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- Customer service experience required.
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition and student advisement.

Preferred/Specialized Qualifications:
- Emphasis in counseling, human resource management, business management, education or a related degree program
- Experience in an educational setting preferred.
- 1-3 years demonstrated experience collaborating with employers and/or students for business and career development. Experience in a career center or human resources is preferred.
Salary:
$45,000-$47,000 ($21.63- $22.59 per hour)
This position is eligible for overtime.

At Bryant & Stratton College, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
