This is a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work at our 4 child Autism Therapy clinics in the Greater St. Louis Area. The Speech-Language Pathologist is like no other in the industry as we focus on a holistic approach to understanding children on the spectrum.
Job Description: Researches resources and methods (e.g. intervention and treatment techniques, assessment tools and methods, community resources, etc.) for the purpose of determining the appropriate approach for addressing students' needs. Conduct speech assessments and conduct 1-hour sessions for children on the Autism Spectrum (Ages 2-7). Conduct Autism Evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications
The job of Speech-Language Pathologist is to treat students with communication disorders; planning and implementing appropriate treatment to minimize adverse impact on student success; recommending treatment plans; and providing direction to behavior therapists.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
· Familiarity with and ability to conduct ADOS-2 (or willing to complete ADOS-2 training) with physicians approval in order to diagnose ASD for potential clients. (Preferred but not required)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide direction instruction and support to clients and family members during regularly scheduled sessions.
· Work in effective collaboration with ABSpectrum’s clinical team.
· Effectively manage caseloads, prepare and submit all required documentation in a timely manner to Director/Owner and insurance companies
· Ensure that all treatment methodologies are evidence based and reflect the most recent research findings.
· Train staff or recent research findings or new information the employee receives via conference/continuing education opportunities
· Create materials to be used for programming and assessment
· Conduct assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan for each student.
· Develop a treatment plans and individualized goals for each student and ensure they are updated at least every three months.
· Participate in team, staff, and parent meetings when needed.
· Collaborate with families and staff in the development of language support strategies.
· Train staff as needed on speech therapy interventions
· Give basic training to parents for generalizing language development skills.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Regular predictable attendance is an essential requirement for this position
· Computer skills in the use of word processing, internet, and electronic mail software.
· Ambulatory and able to climb stairs, sit and play on the floor, move, react, and stand quickly
· Access to transport to school for sessions.
· 1-2 years of experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities/autism spectrum disorders
· Able to work independently and as part of a team
· Fulfill the necessary training requirements of the agency
EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS
· Active Speech-Language Pathologist MO License
· 1 year of autism experience preferred
