Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
- Assist individuals with basic daily living skills, nurturing their journey towards optimal independence and integration.
- Provide health and personal care with compassion and expertise, ensuring the well-being of those under your care.
- Master the art of behavioral development and management, turning challenges into triumphs.
- Keep a vigilant eye on medication administration, ensuring residents stay healthy and happy.
- Be the storyteller of their daily lives, meticulously documenting and reporting any changes in health, behavior, or needs.
- Become a resident's best friend and mentor through engaging trainings and activities, fostering growth and joy.
- Embrace the unexpected with grace and poise, tackling incidental duties like light housekeeping and cooking with flair.
ADDITIONAL OVERNIGHT DSP FUNCTIONS: Perform bed checks to ensure residents are safe. Aid with morning routines and medications for residents that must be up earlier than 6 a.m. or before arrival of next staff on duty.
Location: Glendale area.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Sat & Sun: 2pm-10pm; 6pm-10pm; Must be available to work overtime (as needed)

- Must complete Indeed assessment included with Indeed application to be considered for an interview.
- A heart brimming with compassion and dedication to serving others.
- A high school diploma (brownie points for some college!), and the ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English.
- Prefer 21 years of age or older, but at least 18.
- Culinary prowess - because who doesn't love a good meal?
- The ability to pass all employment requirements with flying colors - TB test, background check, physical, you name it!
- DSP I and II a plus, but not required. Will train. DSP starting wage $18.50. DSP I & II starting wage $19.
- Person-Centered training a plus, but not required. Will train.
- Flexibility and Adaptibility to stay after work hours in case of emergencies or meet staffing needs with ease.
- Must have a valid California's driver’s license (at least 18 years old) with a minimum of 3-year driving experience and a squeaky-clean driving record.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 8 per week

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- working with the developmentally disabled population: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- DSP I Certification (Preferred)
