EthicsPro Accounting|Tax is looking for an experienced Tax Associate to join our fast-growing professional services remote team! Our firm services hundreds of small business owners and high net worth individuals across multiple advisory offerings including Tax Planning, Tax Implementation, and Chief Financial Officer services. What You’ll Do
● Train and become a tax planning advisor helping walk clients through different strategies that may help them make smarter tax and financial decisions.
● Prepare year end tax returns for small business clients and high net worth individuals.
● Prepare and present tax planning kickoff calls, implementation calls and quarterly calls engaging the clients with their tax questions throughout the year.
● Record tax entries within client’s accounting system and spot potential tax errors
● Keep up to date with latest tax legislation changes and IRS pronouncements as they become available.
● Spend time researching strategies that may apply to clients to help keep up to date with the evolving tax industry.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
● 4+ years of working in public accounting on taxes for individuals and small businesses owners
● Must be a licensed tax preparer, EA, or CPA
● Strong problem solving and interpersonal communication skills
● Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment with the desire for continuous improvement
● Advanced Excel skills
● Willingness and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
● Maintain ego-free environment to help focus on solving the problem and developing solutions that will work for the long term.
● Ability to work on multiple projects at once, while meeting or exceeding tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of Payroll processes is preferred.
