The ideal candidate for Logistics Coordinator is detail oriented, enjoys a fast-paced work environment, and has strong written and oral communication skills as well as strong organizational skills. The individual filling this role would be a member of Pitsco’s Development team and would interact on a daily basis with Learning Specialists, Project Manager, and Portfolio Specialists. This individual will represent the Development department as curriculum and product move from the creation stage to a ship-ready stage. This will include attending logistics meetings and managing the Bills of Materials for many of Pitsco’s products. These tasks are accomplished by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Representing the Development department at Logistics meetings
- Disseminating development information to various Pitsco departments
- Providing insight in the planning and scheduling of future projects
- Contributing ideas for improvements related to the various development processes
- Working with the Development department as related to changed pages and updated documents
- Fostering productive relationships with the Development department and other Pitsco departments
- Maintaining overall knowledge of Pitsco Education’s Bill of Materials processes including providing guidance on the following topics/areas:
- Development assistance
- Maintaining accuracy and consistency
- Entering for operation purposes
- Maintenance
- Representing the Development department as curriculum progresses from the development stage to a shipping-ready stage
- Working with Purchasing department to fulfill purchasing requests of items needed as a part of curriculum development
- Assisting the Quality Assurance team in the testing and maintenance of products and curriculum
- Assisting Project Manager and Portfolio Specialists as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education/communication/business preferred
- Technology literacy required/Microsoft Office Suite knowledge required
- Conscientious, detail-oriented person who is self-motivated
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to handle and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner, strong decision-making ability
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Ability to learn quickly and perform duties independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must work well in a team environment
- Ability to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation including the ability to walk, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, and stoop
