Consumer Care Specialist (Collections Representative)
As a Consumer Care Specialist, you will be communicating with consumer representatives on behalf of clients, to address delinquent credit card portfolios. This role requires professionalism, tact, and caring, and is great for individuals who are naturally compassionate and believe in helping others.
Among other responsibilities, you’ll primarily be involved in:
- Applying polite and customer-service-focused communication that adheres to federal and state guidelines on every call.
- Attempting to resolve account balances by engaging with consumers to determine the best possible arrangement.
- Partnering with Team Lead and/or Operations Managers to solve unique and/or complex matters.
- Working collectively and supporting each other to ensure top-of-the-line customer and quality service.

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE AN IDEAL CANDIDATE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service and/or call-center experience.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft software applications, the ability to multi-task across multiple applications, and navigate between multiple screens, etc.
- Assertive, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to a regulated and structured work environment, including reading scripts.
- Customer-service-focused with sensitivity to individuals experiencing grief and loss.
BALANCED WORK SCHEDULE.
Although schedules may change from time to time as business and/or client needs evolve, schedules generally have the following structure over a 40-hour work week:
- 2 Days (Monday – Thursday): 8:00 AM – 5:00PM
- 2 Days (Monday – Thursday): 12:00 PM – 9:00PM
- Fridays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM
- One Saturday per month: 8:00 AM – 12:00PM
To be eligible, the candidate must be able to attend a mandatory in-office training Monday – Friday from 8:00am until 5:00pm through the probationary period.
OUR COMMITMENT TO FLEXIBILITY.
To promote work and life flexibility, PCA has implemented a hybrid work policy. Colleagues are generally required to work onsite from a PCA office location full-time. However, they do have the option of applying to work from home if they meet certain eligibility requirements. These requirements are role specific and have been established to ensure that employees have the adequate knowledge to perform their duties from home.
