Shlash Orthodontics is a progressive orthodontic office that is fast-paced and focused on creating an exceptional patient experience. We are growing and are looking for an experienced orthodontic assistant to join our team while working in a fun team atmosphere! Your job will be to work with existing and new patients with various chair side assisting procedures such as wire changes, records, Invisalign attachment and button placement, and bondings. Typical hours are 24 hours per week, which are composed of 3 clinical days (9am-5pm) and one Administrative half-day (9am-12pm).

Orthodontic Assistant Job Duties Include:
- Connect with patients to create a 5-star patient experience
- Educate patients on orthodontic home care and what to expect with orthodontic treatment start/emergencies
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances (Fixed brackets, GC Experience, and Invisalign)
- Take orthodontic records (Photos, Pan, Ceph) and accurately upload them into TOPS software
- Ensure accurate patient notes
- Send and track accurate labwork Rx notes
- Perform iTero scans (ensuring accurate lab/lab Rx completion) and take alginate impressions, pour and trim for removals
- Stock and organize chairs
- Clean and sterilize equipment following OSHA and Infection Control standards
- Ensure arrival of all appliances from labs (week before and day before)
- Assist in marketing and with community outreach/events
- Encourage practice growth by encouraging patient social media posts
- Organize and order supplies
Requirements for the Position:
- Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Available Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm (full time: 24-28 hours/week)

- Past orthodontic assistant experience in an orthodontic office is preferred but not required
