Position Summary: The Assembly Technician is responsible for equipment assembly per engineering drawings. This position will remanufacture or rebuild components for field service operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform equipment assembly according to engineering drawings.
- Conduit, tube, and pipe bending / threading per print.
- Uses common hand tools, pneumatic tools, electric power tools and fork trucks.
- Use of electric powered benders, riveters, drill press and chop saws.
- Maintains accurate records regarding work performed at each stage of production.
- Works closely with other technicians to ensure quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Conducts testing of completed manufactured assemblies per test checklist.
- Remanufacture or rebuild components for field service operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Three years of industrial, automotive, or manufacturing.
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read basic diagrams and schematics.
- Coursework or certification in industrial, automotive, or manufacturing preferred.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal for reporting purposes); attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift 60lbs.
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office products required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel on a limited basis (up to 15%, local travel).
Work Hours:
- Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:15 PM/CST
- Friday - 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM/CST.

Position requires physical effort such as that associated with driving a motorized vehicle, using hand tools, and typing on a computer. Position requires moderate lifting (30-60lbs), occasional need to walk on irregular surfaces, wrist, and arm movements. Also requires connecting and disconnecting of valves and hoses, gauging instruments, wires, and using the corresponding tools.
