Peterbrooke Chocolatier Manager – Jacksonville, FL
The Peterbrooke Chocolate Store is looking for a store manager to run our AVONDALE, FL location.
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Make all our guests happy. Supervises and coordinates activities of employees in a retail store. (Guest service, production, packaging, store cleanliness) Plans, prepares and devises work schedules according to budgets and workloads. Observes and evaluates employees’ performance. Issues instructions and assigns duties to workers. Trains and inspires employees. Hires guest focused employees and discharges employees. Communicates with franchise owner/Corporate to resolve problems, expedite work and increase profits. Interprets and communicates work procedures, or new products. Manages change (product, procedural, innovation change) Executes marketing initiatives. Assists employees with problem solving and completing task. Resolves complaints and answers questions from guests regarding service and procedures. Participates in community events, promotional events when necessary. Plans and hosts in store events. Responsible for inventory and shrinkage management. (Counting inventory and using inventory management programs) Place orders with vendors. Solicits and handles corporate orders. Works to increase store sales and profits. Responsible for all activities of the retail store.

TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Guest service skills required

Leadership skills required

Management experience preferred

Retail experience preferred

Customer service experience preferred

Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products
EDUCATION:

High School Graduate / GED
-
AA Degree preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents

Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve complex and or practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and in situations where only limited experience exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
