**Overview** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The Caregiver will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with long-term care needs, including developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the well-being of our residents and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. The Caregiver will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care. **Responsibilities** - Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming - Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) such as toileting, incontinence care, and feeding - Help with mobility and transferring residents from one place to another - Assist with medication management and administer medications as needed - Support residents with dementia care, including memory loss and behavioral challenges - Monitor the health and well-being of residents and report any changes to the nursing staff - Assist with household duties, such as cleaning and laundry - Participate in recreational activities with residents to promote socialization and engagement - Provide emotional support and companionship to residents - Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Drive residents to appointments and outings when necessary - Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing staff **Requirements** - High school diploma or equivalent - Experience working in long-term care or a related field - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to lift and transfer residents as needed - Familiarity with nursing home care and practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively - Compassion and understanding of individuals with developmental disabilities - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle - NYS Nurse Assistant Certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire date We offer a supportive work environment, competitive salary, and opportunities for professional growth.
