**Job Title: Private Investigator**
**Job Overview:**
We are looking for a detail-oriented and resourceful Private Investigator Contractor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a wide range of investigations, including domestic and civil cases, background checks, fraud investigations, missing persons, and more. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, discretion, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct mobile and fixed surveillance operations and gather evidence using video, photographic, and written documentation.
- Perform background checks and research using public records and databases.
- Conduct interviews and obtain statements from witnesses and subjects.
- Prepare detailed and comprehensive investigative reports for clients.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure all investigative activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and legal professionals as needed.
- Utilize various investigative tools and technology efficiently.
- Provide invoices for work in a timely manner and be responsible for all relevant taxes and documentation for contract work.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in private investigations or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of investigative techniques and legal requirements in Colorado.
- Must provide own surveillance equipment and investigative database licenses, including but not limited to high-zoom camera/camcorder with night vision capability, battery replacements, SD cards, portable power bank, mobile phone, surveillance vehicle (ideally generic color and model such as a white or silver popular brand sedan or SUV), and database licenses such as Idicore, Delvepoint, Transunion, etc.
- Proficiency in using surveillance equipment and other investigative tools.
- Excellent analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Must pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
- Experience with digital and cybersecurity investigations.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate of $25-50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
