Responsibilities:
- Perform medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, and or CT scans if ARRT Cert., to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and producing high-quality images
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging techniques for each patient
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Adhere to safety protocols and follow radiation protection guidelines
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an X-ray Technician
- Experience working in an emergency room or similar fast-paced medical environment is preferred
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with mammography procedures is a plus
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using X-ray technology
- Strong understanding of physiology and how it relates to medical imaging
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
