Role Overview
Our company is looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee all aspects of accounting activities, financial reporting, and controls for several hotels and entities. The role includes ongoing process improvement through analysis of financial data, Accounts Payable for multiple hotels, Monthly P&L reporting, implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures and best practices.
The ideal candidate would have worked in a similar role overseeing the accounting department for several hotels, with an extensive experience as Director of Finance in the hospitality industry. This individual should be a strong change leader, well organized and results-oriented.
This position may involve occasional travel.
Duties And Responsibilities
· Completion, review and submittal of income statements, balance sheets and profit and loss statements Monthly
· Complete monthly bank reconciliations for multiple properties
· Provide quarterly review of budgets and forecasts
· Create and send accounts payable on a bi weekly basis. .
· Review and enter all vendor invoices into Accounting system..
· Communicate with company vendors for accurate payment processing as needed.
· Document creation and involvement for new property acquisitions as needed.
· Tracking cash flow and cash management as needed
· Performing audits and resolving discrepancies as needed.
· Create additional property financial reports as needed.
· Analyze the company’s financial strengths and weaknesses and propose corrective actions as needed.
· Work with the external tax firm to process all sales and use tax, corporate income tax, employee withholding and unemployment tax.
· Provide timely responses to all company personnel communication as needed (i.e. Emails, Telephone, Video calls, etc.)
Skills And Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of hospitality Finance/Accounting experience including positions as multi-unit Controller or Director of Finance
- In-depth understanding of the hospitality industry, including operations, opening, conversion, transition, owner relations, and revenue management
Education
- A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA a plus

- Business acumen with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency with complex models using Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
