We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during dental procedures and providing excellent patient care. ```Responsibilities:```
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support to ensure patient comfort
- Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse
- Update and maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient inquiries
- Utilize Dentrix software to input and retrieve patient information efficiently
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and dental anatomy to effectively communicate with the dentist and other team members
- Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
