Rockford Pain Management is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant that is an energetic, team orientated individual with excellent communication skills to join our growing practice. Duties include but are not limited to vitals, rooming patients, phlebotomy and phone triage. We have an exciting and challenging full-time position available with a competitive wage.
Medical Assistant Job Duties:
- Verifies patient information with the patients by recording medical history and confirming purpose of visit.
- Prepares patients for examination by taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; recording patient history summary.
- Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about visit
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; notifying manager of any potential problems or issues.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and staff meetings when necessary.
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
- Effectively and safely use various pieces of equipment (autoclave, ultrasonic, etc.)
- Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records
- Any other duties as assigned.
Medical Assistant Skills and Qualifications:
Supply management, verbal communication, infection control, creating a safe and effective work environment, organization, scheduling, professionalism, patient focus, confidentiality, bedside manner, and medical teamwork
Education: High School diploma or equivalent and completion of Medical Assistant Program preferred.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
