Responsibilities
- Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership standards
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Document all work performed on the repair order.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager.
- Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Keep shop area neat and clean.
- Understand and keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Report any safety issues immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Linoln Certification a Plus (Not Required)
- Three Years Experience as a Technician
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Team oriented with a strong sense of dedication to the customer and service team
- Self-motivated and professional
- Possess own tools.
