This position is responsible for performing established standard mechanic duties to production machines for assigned equipment to maintain production, scrap rates, and quality of products at established standards.
The Machine Mechanic is responsible for:
· Operating and repairing production equipment to meet or exceed standard production output and quality.
· Performing established standard mechanic duties to machines for assigned equipment to maintain production, scrap rates, and quality of staples at established standards.
· Accurately count and record production output and process scrap daily.
· Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area by cleaning up grease and oil.
· Additional duties as needed to keep the machines running.
Your job will include extensive training that will assist in troubleshooting to maintain peak performance and minimal process scrap.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Visually detect defects in wire or fastener
· Learn the functions of various lubes, oils, etc.
· Make minor adjustments or repairs to equipment.
Qualifications:
· Preferred high school graduate or equivalent.
· Must be able to read and write and perform arithmetic calculations.
· Capable of understanding and practicing our Total Quality Process.
Requirements:
· Must be able to stand, walk and lift for extended periods of time.
· Must provide own set of standard tools.
· Must be able to obtain material handling vehicle license.
· Knowledge of micrometer and calipers use is a plus.
· Must be 18 years of age to apply.
· Proven ability to repair transmissions, engines, or the like as
· 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00AM - 4:00PM
· 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4:00PM - 2:00AM
Pay Range: We have multiple levels of pay across a wide level of experience:
· General Mechanic: $19/hr. - $23/hr. (< 2yrs. “general mechanical” Experience)
· Apprentice Master Mechanic: $21.55/hr. – 25/hr. (2 – 3 yrs. Experience)
· Master Mechanic: $25/hr. - $30/hr. (3+ Experience)
NOTE: $1.50/hour shift differential!
