Job Description
Our dynamic tax and accounting services firm is looking to hire a firm operations support manager to join our team. Critical to our ongoing success, this individual will support our hardworking team of accountants. Core duties include workflow coordination for compliance and other projects, organizing confidential documents in our virtual file room, and corresponding with clients on various inquiries and client services matters.
To be a successful team member, you will be comfortable navigating various technology platforms and jumping in to assist with ongoing practice operations and special projects. A background in office or firm administration would serve this role well, and payroll administration would be a plus. We are a seasonal business, so flexibility is crucial during our busiest weeks in the spring and fall. The successful candidate should be proficient in our core tech stack including Google business suite (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar and Meet), Adobe and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word). Experience with tax preparation software (ProConnect), Karbon and payroll processing would be preferred.
Role Responsibilities
● Work efficiently to support coordination, completion and delivery of tax returns and other client deliverables in a seasonal and deadline-driven accounting practice in cloud-based technology
● Assist in maintaining confidential client and internal records in a virtual storage system, including downloading, sorting and filing confidential documents
● Update various activity and project trackers to communicate project statuses with our remote team as they move through our tax preparation process
● Respond to and juggle numerous email and phone inquiries while delivering world-class service to our tax and accounting clients
● Provide excellent and timely support to our remote team of accountants and bookkeepers
● Coordinate the solving of various problems as they arise, including working with the team on resolutions requiring technical tax or accounting knowledge and documentation as needed
● Work independently while effectively communicating with team members to get projects completed and problems solved
● Produce electronic and printed paper reports, deliverables, and correspondence
● Assist in all other internal support, administrative or support tasks, including banking, accounts payable and payroll-related duties
Role Requirements
● A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
● Office, firm or practice support and administration experience
● Client or customer service experience
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● High degree of accuracy, organization and attention to detail
● Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Google, Adobe and Microsoft Office suites.
● Seasonal business experience a plus
● Experience with tax preparation software, Karbon or payroll processing not required but would be quite valuable

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
