Position: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Tech
Status: Non-Exempt
Location: 624 Stewart Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89101 + as needed based on internal portfolio
Primary Functions: To maintain residential units, property repairs, and unit turns for Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada portfolio, including multi-family apartment units, studios, and single-family homes.
Specific Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Regional Property Manager, provide maintenance for multi-family residential units, repairs, and renovation of the current portfolio as requested.
Duties: drywall repair, texture, painting (using sprayer), plumbing, electrical, appliance installation, HVAC Maintenance, doors installation, locks, floor repair, water heaters, bathroom or kitchen cabinetry repair/replacement, curb appeal upkeep, unit renovations, turning units rent-ready, and other activities as directed.
Other Responsibilities:
Required to maintain a solid record of completing service requests by NHSSN residents and the Regional Property Manager promptly.
Maintain clean grounds and common areas as needed and requested.
Maintain supply and parts inventory.
Share emergency service work on a biweekly basis.
Adheres to safety policies and procedures on all job sites.
Assists in organizing supplies as needed and directed by the Regional Property Manager.
Maintains a courteous and professional relationship with all clients, residents, and business associates.
Performs additional duties assigned by the Regional Property Manager, COO, and CEO.
Minimum Qualifications / Education Requirements:
1. Five or more years of demonstrated experience and proficiencies related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
2. Extensive knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance skills.
3. Must have reliable transportation.
4. Must own and carry basic tools.
5. Must be organized and display time management skills.
6. Reasonable verbal and written communication skills.
7. Will be required to always wear appropriate work attire.
8. Proficiency in basic computer skills.
Licenses / Required Certifications:
A valid Nevada driver’s license and good driving record are required.
OSHA10 is preferred.
Fair Housing Training is preferred.
Work Direction: Reports directly to the Regional Property Manager.
Physical Effort: Requires the ability to exert some physical effort, such as walking, standing, and lifting heavy materials and equipment, and manual dexterity if the use of fingers, limbs, and body in the operation of tools and equipment to perform required repairs and maintenance activities and may have to lift or move up to 10lbs regularly and up to 100lbs when moving appliances as needed.
Work Hours: Monday - Thursday - 7:00 am – 5:30 pm w/30 mins lunch break. Full-time - 40 hours per week. Rotating on-call emergency hours schedule.
It may require some nights and/or weekend work to complete specific projects or when emergencies present themselves.
Volunteer Time: 40 hours per year related to NHSSN events and activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,500.00 - $52,900.00 per year
