Waste Dock Technician
Operating on 3 shifts, 7AM-3M, 3PM-11PM, 11PM-7AM
PPE Requirements
1. Safety Glasses
2. High Visibility Shirt and/or Vest
3. Hair Net
4. Beard Net (if employee has facial hair)
5. Earmuffs (Not regular Ear plugs. Can Machine runs at high decibels, requiring Ear Muffs)
6. Water Resistance Steel Toed Footwear
7. Cut Resistant Gloves
Responsibilities
· Must be able to operate Forklift
· Must be able to maintain a Safe Environment – Waste Dock is a heavy traffic area with forklifts and presents many hazards.
· Communicate with Receiving Department when Duffy Box is full and needing to be swapped.
· Communicate with Veg Prep Maintenance regarding any equipment/machine issues that will need repairs
Trash
· Sort/Separate through trashed delivered to Waste Dock
o Cardboard
o Food Waste
o Good Boxes (Gaylords)
o Cans
o Plastics/Soup Sacks
· Wash/Rinse off blue pallets thoroughly to be returned to Production Floor
· Maintain a clean outside area where Breakaway and Self-Contained Compactors are located
Can Machine
· Operate can machine when hoppers are delivered
o Load and unload barrels with recycled cans onto Duffy Box Trailer for recycling
o Clean up food debris left from cans being crushed
o Maintain a clean workspace in accordance with USDA Standards
Xcycler
· Operate Xcycler (bottle buster) when broths containers are delivered for destroy
o Tie bales with baling wire
o Load bales onto Duffy Box Trailer for recycling
o Maintain a clean workspace in accordance with USADA Standards
Cardboard Baler
· Load all loose cardboard into baler for baling
· Keep bales tied tight with baling wire for transportation
· Load full bales on Duffy Box Trailer for recycling
· Ability to determine good boxes from bad
Must pass criminal background check and drug testing
