Job Description:
The Merchandising Coordinator role at OSJL creates the core merchandising strategy for our retail stores. This includes, but is not limited to, developing planograms, visual merchandising displays, and clear communication channels to drive sales across all locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create timely and accurate planograms, planoguides, and visual merchandising displays.
- Craft clear merchandising guidelines for store execution.
- Generate weekly sales reports for key areas, including, but not limited to, select communications for business partners. Update communications based on Buyer feedback and sales performance.
- Collaborate with Buyers to incorporate their input while adhering to merchandising standards in planograms, guides, and displays.
- Partner with store associates to assess communication effectiveness and suggest improvements to merchandising documents.
- Assist the Merchandising team in creating various deliverables, like new store kits.
- Work with the Merchandising team and store associates to arrange fixtures and merchandise according to established guidelines.
- Utilize box cutters and safety equipment to handle product shipments and secure displays during merchandising.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous merchandising experience is preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Suite, and has the ability to learn and use the Google platform (i.e. Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets) and a planogram program.
- Ability to remain flexible under demands of the job, including, but not limited to, hours worked.
Work Environment:
- Works primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety and health hazard
potential.
- Works in an office environment remaining stationary at a desk, table, or computer workstation for extended periods of time. Frequently uses near vision for reading and computer tasks.
- This position requires periods of moving, remaining stationary, ascending, descending, and/or positioning oneself to complete various tasks throughout the shift.
- Responsible for physical activities including using hand tools, ascending or descending a ladder, moving, reaching, and lifting on a frequent basis: should be able to lift 35 lbs on a regular basis.
- Periodic travel may be required depending on the needs of the business.
- Hybrid work option (after probationary period): Work may be completed outside of the company locations. The role is responsible for setting up a professional and ergonomically safe work environment and to be available during working hours. While working remotely, the role will be required to have reliable Internet connection.

The hourly pay rate for this position is between $19.00 - $21.50 per hour. Rate of pay depends on years of experience.
