South Cove Community Health Center is looking for a candidate who can speak Mandarin OR Cantonese. South Cove is the premier Asian primary health care provider in the Greater Boston area. We have been providing value-based health care to the Boston Chinatown’s community for over 50 years and have expanded our delivery of care into the cities of Quincy and Malden. We now offer many services including medical, dental, optometry, obstetrics and gynecology, behavioral health, imaging, and many other services.
Location: Boston
Available Shifts:
Monday to Saturday, usually 40 hours/week

Essential Functions and Job Duties:
- To work cooperatively with other members of the team in order to fulfill our goal of providing high quality health care to our patients
- To assume responsibility for maintaining the orderly flow of patients, for handling crowd control when necessary, and to assist the team in making the patient’s visit as pleasant as possible
- To be sensitive to the needs and concerns of our patients, and to be courteous.
- To respect patient confidentiality at all times
- To administer vaccines, PPDs, and other injections as directed by physician or nurse practitioner
- To handle medical triage, either by phone or in clinic
- To provide counseling and health education to patients
- To administer nebulizers and educate patients on utilization of asthma treatments
- To assist providers with medical procedures, follow-up of lab results, and phone follow-up
- To perform EKGs, as requested by provider
- To assist nursing assistants with intake, filling out school and WIC forms, and making subspecialty appointments
- To assist providers in translating for patients
- To assume responsibility for inventory and ordering of supplies, medications, and vaccines
- To participate in off-site outreach events (such as day care, school, pre-natal classes)
- To assist director in making the Pediatric staff schedule
- To assist the team in keeping the clinic areas safe, clean, and well-stocked
- To be available to fill in as RN in other medical departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- RN registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin OR Cantonese)
Education & Experience:
