WELLNESS CLINIC ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN (FULL OR PART-TIME)
Do you want to take the next step in your career while maintaining a real work-life balance? Faithful Friends Animal Society is seeking a self-starter with a passion to expand access to care through providing quality, lower cost veterinary care to those in need. Collaborate with a progressive team of shelter veterinary professionals at Faithful Friends Animal Society in northern Delaware. This position is available to veterinarians seeking an opportunity to learn and develop leadership, interpersonal and managerial skills as we work together to lead and develop the public-facing sides of our non-profit veterinary clinic. Ample vet tech support will be provided.
DESCRIPTION
Faithful Friends Animal Society is a comprehensive, nonprofit animal welfare organization that serves 18,000 pets and 24,000 people a year through programs and services that focus on the most vulnerable. For 23 years, Faithful Friends has led reforms in animal welfare that have become the building blocks for a comprehensive, humane animal welfare system in Delaware. The number of pets and people we serve each year continues to increase as the demand for our services continues to grow. We have moved to our new home in New Castle, Delaware on a 27-acre property, complete with walking trails and gardens. We also have a new mobile clinic for wellness/sick appointments as well as spay/neuter surgeries.
The Faithful Friends shelter clinic and mobile clinic provide preventative medicine, basic sick care, and minor surgeries to owned pets and to community cats. We are in search of a PART-TIME or FULL-TIME VETERINARIAN who advocates for pets, educates clients on all aspects of pet health, ensures a safe and effective environment, and improves the medical quality and business performance of the Clinic. The Clinics have dedicated exam rooms, on-site lab, reception area, outdoor seating, supportive front desk staff and skilled veterinary technicians. We will consider relief veterinarians too.
