Job Summary:
The Restoration Project Manager will oversee and coordinate various projects from inception to completion, ensuring effective client communication, adherence to schedules, and budget compliance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide leadership in the initial planning stage by collaborating with clients and all involved parties; develop detailed job descriptions and identify necessary materials.
- Schedule and coordinate projects in logical steps, budgeting the time required to meet deadlines.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates; maintain regular communication with clients regarding budget progress and costs.
- Ensure adherence to budgets; make quick, necessary adjustments in response to unexpected complications or issues.
- Enforce safety standards and guidelines on the job site, ensuring all safety codes are met.
- Oversee contract negotiations, revisions, additions, and adherence by all parties.
- Collaborate with clients, supervisory staff, contractors, and design professionals to resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design issues.
- Manage and lead actions required due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers.
- Communicate with insurance carriers as required.
- Negotiate and agree on the scope of repairs with insurance adjusters.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
- Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment.
- Experience and knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with blueprints.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective supervisory and leadership abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Experience working with mechanical equipment.
- Experience working within teams.
- Experience managing multiple projects.
- Experience with Xactimate Software.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
