Overview:
The NRHS Neurology Associates and OK Headache Center are fast-paced clinics with a great team culture. We have a culture of stepping up for eachother and doing everything we can for our patients to help them bridge the gap from sickness to wellness. We need an outstanding patient friendly clerk to join our team. This clerk would work with a team of front office staff to ensure that our patients get the neurologic care than they need. This clerks primary focus would be to man our call center and assist the clerical team as need. As a clerk, you will get opportunities to learn how to perform prior authorizations, develop and discuss financial reports, assist with referrals, and be the face of the clinic for our patients. In addition to developing proffesionally, you will have opportunities to learn and grow personally as well. This development will be done through collaboration with your leadership team as well as teammtes in the clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Answer 2,500-3,000 phone calls each month

Provides excellent service to patients and visitors and quality support to physicians and other clinic staff.

Registers patients, verifies and enters accurate information, collects patient payments, answers multiple phone lines, schedules appointments, completes prior authorizations, and performs various clerical duties.

Must have 6 months experience in the healthcare field, excellent communication skills, some knowledge of Word and Outlook, good data entry skills and a strong ability to multi-task.

Use of basic medical terminology and successful navigation of an electronic medical record are required for successful completion of essential functions of the role.
Qualifications:
Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience
-
Computer knowledge required.

Prefer additional education in medical terminology, electronic medical record training, or business classes.

One year clerical experience and six months health-care experience are required preferably in a similar role.

Prefer medical office, insurance, hospital or computer experience.

Keyboard skills accurate 40 wpm.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).
Compensation/Benefits

$13.74-$22.44/hr depending on previous work experience.
