Join Hoagland Meat, a fast-growing family business! We have been cattle ranchers for generations. In the last couple of years, we have acquired a processing plant in Homedale and are now supplying the best beef in the valley, locally and responsibly raised, to restaurants, food services, and consumers throughout the Treasure Valley of Idaho. We believe in local, responsibly raised meat for local people. We are at the forefront of the farm to fork movement.
We are looking for an experienced, bilingual (English and Spanish), retail sales and customer service representative to work out of our Homedale facility.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting our online retail efforts by:
- Managing our online orders, printing packing slips, pulling product, and setting up deliveries.
- Organizing daily delivery routes for our drivers.
- Calling new subscribers to welcome them.
- Answering calls from clients to adjust their subscriptions, manage deliveries, and handle questions, concerns, or complaints.
- Proactively calling past clients and recent cancelations to find out what we can do better and see if we can win them back.
Supporting our storefront sales by:
- Welcoming visitors to our shop and assisting them to purchase products we offer.
- Running our point of sale (cash register) system to transact on-site purchases.
- Making our clients feel welcomed, in both English and Spanish, getting to know them, discussing their plans for the meat they are buying, making recommendations, and thanking them for coming in to purchase.
- Promoting our storefront throughout the local area.
- Closing out the register every couple of days, counting the money, reconciling the accounting, and storing it in the safe.
- Keeping track of inventory and presenting inventory reports to plant management.
Qualifications:
- You must be bilingual - fluent in both English and Spanish.
- You must have at least 5 years of retail sales and customer service experience.
- You must have good computer skills, with experience using customer relationships management systems, accounting programs, and point of sale systems. Experience with standard office software is also a must. Ideally, you have used Shopify before, though not mandatory.
- You must have an energetic attitude and a great work ethic.
- You must have a clean background – no criminal past and no current drug or alcohol problems.
- It would be ideal if you have some experience in the cattle, beef, or grocery industries, though not a requirement.
Compensation:
- Base pay of $21 - $25 per hour, depending on experience. ($40K to $55K per year) with advancement potential.
