Responsibilities:
Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff. Set performance standards and conduct regular performance evaluations. Create and maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
Beverage Program Development: Develop and update the bar menu in collaboration with the culinary team. Stay current on industry trends and introduce new and innovative beverage offerings. Oversee the creation and standardization of recipes.
Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Handle customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally. Implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience.
Inventory Management: Manage and control beverage inventory, including ordering and stock rotation. Monitor and analyze sales trends to optimize inventory levels. Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability.
Financial Oversight: Set and achieve revenue and profitability targets for the bar. Prepare and manage budgets, including cost analysis and forecasting. Implement pricing strategies in alignment with business goals.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages. Implement and enforce safety and sanitation standards.
Marketing and Promotions: Develop and execute marketing initiatives to promote the bar. Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotions and events. Utilize social media and other platforms to increase visibility.
Training and Development: Provide ongoing training to bar staff on product knowledge, service standards, and safety procedures. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bartending or a related role preferred
- Strong knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and drink preparation techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems, such as Aloha POS, is a plus
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
