About New Mexico Military Institute:NMMI is a state-supported, co-educational college preparatory high school and junior college, complete with Junior and Senior ROTC programs. With a Corps of Cadets numbering up to 1,000 young men and women, NMMI provides an accredited college preparatory curriculum on the high school level and is currently developing a new middle school.
Position Under the direction of the President/ Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer, the Human Resources/Title IX Director plans, leads, directs, develops, and coordinates the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources/Title IX Department. This position is responsible for ensuring legal compliance and implementation utilizing internal policies, practices, and federal and state employment law. The HR/Title IX Director must continuously work toward NMMI’s mission and vision through the department’s strategic initiatives. This is an exempt, 12-month, full-time position. The salary range is $82,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually. The job description is available upon request.
Tasks:
· Supervises the Human Resources/Title IX staff.
· Support NMMI faculty, staff, and leadership.
· Investigates & develops an institutional position relative to formal and informal complaints.
· Develop policies and procedures that support consistent and legal practices.
· Acts as a resource for supervisors and employees regarding employee relations.
· Works collaboratively with the Title IX Coordinator.
· Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
· Three years of experience in HR Management.
· Must possess a valid driver's license.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Must possess the ability to work with a culturally diverse group of staff and faculty and work collaboratively with other administrators, faculty, and staff to advance the goals of the mission of the Institute.
· Employment Law Knowledge.
Preferred:
· Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
· At least five years of human resource management experience.
· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
