This position is responsible for verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include addressing, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; printing delivery paperwork, and arranging for the transportation of products.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Arranging daily deliveries, LTL’s and parcels
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
- Extensive knowledge of product and part numbers.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Send receiving documents to purchasing, and communicate any discrepancies.
- Prepare documents, such as shipping orders to route materials, and delivery paperwork.
- Confer or correspond with Purchaser, and Branch Manager with problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
- Quality Control; verify product, counts, and sizes.
- Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping
- Maintain inventory levels on resale items.
- Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Deliver or route materials in warehouse using forklift or hand truck
- Requisition and store shipping materials, and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
- Request quotes, and write purchase orders for LTL shipments.
- Run weekly Open Delivery Reports in SAP, and schedule shipments for will-call orders.
- Assist shop team with product knowledge
- Work with other Flashco Branches regarding transfers/orders and freight
- General errands for shop as needed including ordering of office materials

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
