Responsibilities:
Responsible for directing operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport
Assist team leader and signal persons
Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers
Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations
Responsible for complying with company policy, safety guidelines and procedures
Participates in safety meetings and other rigger programs
Understands and can perform proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of the load
Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged
Assures that lifting gear is properly inspected prior to use
Assists the crane operator in the proper set-up of the equipment
Assists the crane operator in the maintenance of the crane and any additional equipment
Utilizes proper hand signals during all operations of the crane
Assists in loading and securing equipment to trailers (counterweights, mats, spreader bars, etc.)
Requirements:
Rigging Certification thru NCCER (Advanced) or NCCCO (Level 1 & 2)
Must be able to pass drug tests (urine, hair, swab)
Must be able to pass DISA background check
Must have a valid TWIC Card
Must have a valid Texas Drivers License
3 years rigging experience
Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights and/or holidays
Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

- rigging: 3 years (Required)
