7A-3:30P Monday-Friday (One Saturday/Month 8A-12P Overtime)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Equipment Operator is responsible for:
- Safely and efficiently operate all power equipment including: forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers and pallet jacks;
- Maintaining inventory control and accuracy through processes and systems set forth by the company;
- Receive inventory, stock shelves, pick orders, package orders and ship orders
- Check and restock merchandise & inventory, inspect for damage and verify counts
- Maintain work areas by keeping areas clean, neat and orderly
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, DUTIES AND ABILITIES:
- Responsible for maintaining familiarity and knowledge of company product line locations and priorities regarding incoming orders;
- Completion of maintenance sheets, daily maintenance of equipment and report discrepancies to supervisor;
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation for all scheduled shifts
- Comply with federal, state, local, OSHA and company policies, procedures, and regulations;
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism that creates positive customer experiences reflecting well upon the department and the company;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and follow the direction of and communicate with the leadership team;
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse population and workforce both individually and as part of a team;
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility;
- Ability to manage time effectively;
- Maintain consistent and regular attendance and be available to work overtime, holidays and weekends as needed at times on less than 24 hours’ notice;
- Must report any and all injuries/illnesses immediately to supervisor as well as any unsafe working conditions;
- Perform other duties as assigned;
- Position will require employee to be familiar with every zone of the warehouse;
- Complete other duties as assigned.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred;
Provide a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Driving Record upon request, and maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for all scheduled shifts;
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test;
- Wear appropriate footwear protection and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Company policy;
- Acknowledgement of and adherence to all Company policies and procedures as contained within the Fisher Auto Parts Employee and Driver’s Handbooks.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted;
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, squat, and stoop; Also required to climb, push/pull, balance, crouch or crawl, talk, speak, and hear.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- May be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and/or vehicles, high/precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, various degrees of cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, items of bulky or varying weight, risk of explosion, and/or vibration. Noise level may be moderate to heavy.
- Must have considerable mobility, and able to stand and/or sit for long durations of time.
