We are searching for a Manager for our Coffee Shop in downtown Portland, ME!
We are eager to hire an experienced Barista with a passion for coffee and customer service, that possesses leadership qualities, an attention to detail, strong communication skills, and comfortability in a food service setting.
Responsibilities would include:
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the coffee shop.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all areas including kitchen, front counter, and seating area.
- Monitor and maintain quality of food, beverages, and service.
- Implement and maintain operational standards and procedures.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
- Schedule shifts and manage staffing levels to optimize efficiency.
- Motivate and lead the team to provide excellent customer service.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
Customer Service:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Train staff in customer service best practices.
Inventory and Supplies Management:
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure stock rotation and minimize waste.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Quality Control:
- Monitor the quality of coffee, beverages, and food items.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure consistency.
At least one year of coffee shop experience is preferred for this role.
