Responsibilities:
- Perform multipoint inspections
- Inspect and replace vehicle fluids, filters, and belts as needed
- Rotate tires and perform tire repairs or replacements
- Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
- Check tire pressure and wear
- Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
- Provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards and codes of conduct
- Follow safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals
- Follow dealership procedures to dispose of used chemicals and products
Skills:
- Must meet dealership’s requirements for employment
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and information
- Ability to use power tools and other equipment safely and effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate completion of tasks
- Must have a valid driver license and be able to operate manual transmissions
- Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice preferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for job duties
- Experience working in a dealership or automotive service environment is a plus
