Our St. Luke’s Penn Foundation’s Recovery Center offers a safe, structured environment for those struggling with substance use. Our compassionate team of professionals believes that recovery is possible and works to ensure that each client receives high quality, personalized care that meets them where they are in their recovery process. Clients benefit from the latest advancements in evidence-based addiction medicine and mental health treatment. Our goal is to instill hope, inspire change, and build community for each one of our clients so they have a strong foundation for recovery which can be sustained after they are discharged.

SHIFT DETAILS:
Full Time or Part Time
Per Diem (if available), minimum of 2 shifts/month
All positions (including per diem) must have the ability to complete an initial 1 business day of network orientation as well as required unit orientation.
Holiday and weekend requirements per unit and company policies
Positions may be available on various shifts and weekend program options.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Registered Nurse

Demonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.

Demonstrates accountability for initiating and maintaining the multi-disciplinary treatment plans, assuring that all elements are reviewed and revised as required.

Assesses patient/family learning needs and provides and documents interventions by utilizing a variety of therapeutic programming modalities.

Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information.

Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.

Provides individual assistance with clients who are experiencing medical or mental health symptoms, in addition to the dependence

Contributes knowledge of clinical and programmatic needs of client as it relates to clinical knowledge base.

Demonstrates/models the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external).
Licensed Practical Nurse

Observes and reports data regarding assigned patient physical and mental health status.

Participates in a collaborative plan of care in accordance with the multi-disciplinary treatment plan and accepted standards of nursing practice.

Organizes, coordinates, and prioritizes patient care in conjunction with other direct care providers. Contributes to patient/family education process and documents accordingly.

Maintains clinical records of all patient contact according to hospital policy and other regulatory guidelines.

Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.

Provides individual assistance with clients who are experiencing medical or mental health symptoms, in addition to the dependence

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
RN: Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in Addictions or Behavioral Health. ANCC certification in Psychiatric and Mental Health nursing preferred. Maintain current BLS.
LPN: New or experienced. Individualized orientation program for all areas. Maintain current BLS certification.
EDUCATION:
Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania.
Graduate of accredited Pennsylvania nursing school for LPN. Current Pennsylvania License.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sit up to 2 hours per day; 1 hour at a time. Stand for up to 10 hours per day; 8 hours at a time. Walk 6 hours per day; 10 minutes at a time. Consistently lift, carry and push objects up to 10 lbs. Occasionally lift, carry and push objects up to 75 lbs. Transports patients weighing up to 500 lbs. via wheelchair, bed and/or stretcher. Frequently stoop and bend. Frequently reach above should level. Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch. Must be able to hear as it relates to normal conversation and high and low frequencies. Must be able to see as it relates to general, near, far, color and peripheral.
