Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective training programs for volleyball players of all ages and skill levels
- Plan and conduct practice sessions to improve players' technical skills, physical fitness, and game strategies
- Provide guidance and support to players during games and competitions
- Evaluate players' performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Create a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth
- Collaborate with other coaches, parents, and staff to ensure the overall success of the volleyball program
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a volleyball coach or player is preferred
- Knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work well with children and young adults
- CPR/AED certification is a plus
- Availability to work evenings and weekends for practices, games, and tournaments
Skills:
- Childcare: Ability to work with children of various ages in a coaching setting
- Educate: Capability to teach players about the game of volleyball, including rules, strategies, and techniques
- Climb: Physical ability to climb ladders or equipment for setting up nets or adjusting equipment heights
- Physical education: Understanding of physical fitness principles that can be applied in training sessions

**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Coaching and Training:**
- Develop and implement effective training programs and practice schedules.
- Teach fundamental skills, strategies, and tactics specific to the sport.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized coaching to athletes to help them improve their performance.
2. **Team Management:**
- Select and organize the team roster, including tryouts if necessary.
- Foster team unity, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture.
- Manage game-day logistics, including lineups, substitutions, and game strategies.
3. **Skill Development:**
- Identify areas for improvement in athletes' skills and work with them to develop those skills.
- Organize skill-building drills and activities during practices.
- Monitor and track the progress of individual athletes.
4. **Game and Competition Management:**
- Prepare the team for competitive events, including tournaments, matches, or meets.
- Attend all scheduled games and competitions.
- Adjust strategies and tactics as needed during games.
5. **Safety and Well-being:**
- Ensure the safety and well-being of athletes during practices and competitions.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and guidelines.
- Address injuries and provide appropriate first aid when necessary.
6. **Communication:**
- Maintain open and effective communication with athletes, parents, school administration, and fellow coaches.
- Provide regular updates on team progress, performance, and schedule changes.
7. **Sportsmanship and Character Building:**
- Promote sportsmanship, respect, and ethical behavior among athletes.
