Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 DOE
Coachella Valley Behavioral Health, a new premier inpatient treatment center for adults age 18 and older, is opening soon and will set the standard for nursing care in behavioral health. HR Director Responsibilities include:
- Contribute as a strategic partner in the accomplishment of departmental business strategies and plans through initiatives that attract and retain talent, develop employees and leaders and align organizational goals and objectives.
- Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the facility’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, talent review and succession planning.
- Lead and manage full cycle talent acquisition to include sourcing, job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, extending offers of employment and completing necessary paperwork. Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to ensure a robust and diverse applicant pool for all openings.
- Strategize and lead retention efforts including action planning and employee engagement. Work in conjunction with leadership to create a positive work culture.
- Provide consultation to management on staffing, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, position control and employee relations.
- Provide support and guidance to facility management and employees with a focus on consistent employment practices. Provide guidance on interpretation of policies and procedures while serving as known expert in subject matter with a broad knowledge and understanding of HR functional areas.
- Develop, manage and administer various human resource plans and procedures for all facility personnel.
- Work with managers to resolve and prevent employee relations issues by coaching and training. Handle complex and sensitive employee relations and human resources issues that have organizational impact or legal ramifications.
- Ensure complete and consistent Human Resources documentation, including but not limited to documentation of disciplinary actions and training compliance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or related field required.
- Three to five years’ previous experience in a Human Resources related role with demonstrable knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation, benefits, labor relations and negotiation and human resources information systems required.
- Experience in California labor market strongly preferred.
Licenses/Designations/Certifications:
- Professional certification in Human Resources preferred.
