The Maintenance Leader will be responsible for directly overseeing a group of mechanics for a given geography. This person will be responsible for analyzing trends, prioritizing, communicating, and holding accountability for a team of mechanics, each servicing multiple stores. This person will be responsible for maintaining a quality mentorship program within their span of control, successfully changing lives of our maintenance team members for the better.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead and develop a team of mechanics across a large territory
· Assist with planning and prioritizing work to optimize maintenance labor and skillsets
· Able to estimate cost and time for all aspects of equipment maintenance and repair
· Teach, audit, and drive accountability of central software usage (Emaint/CMMS)
· Create an effective partnership between Operations, Manufacturing, and Maintenance
· Hire, promote, transfer, discharge, or execute disciplinary measures per company policies
· Oversee timecard/payroll related responsibilities; safety related training, supplies and reporting and scheduling for the department
· Create and maintain parts storage facilities across a large territory
· Effectively perform store, equipment, and company vehicle audits
Education/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance leadership
· Ability to motivate teams to produce quality work and simultaneously manage several priorities at once
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience in project management, strategic planning, and execution
· Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. Experience with Power BI and Smartsheets preferred.
· Travel up to 50% of the time
· Must maintain a valid drivers’ license
