Job Description:
Baptist Health is looking for a BHMG Coding Auditor/Educator to join our team. This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN
Function in a fully accountable role with respect to monitoring the overall quality of BHMG coding and the constant improvement thereof.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required:
Certified Professional Coder-Physician (CPC)
Minimum 5:years’ experience Physician Practice coding
Experience with:
ICD-10-CM coding principles and procedures,
HCPCS, CPT and modifier coding,
HCC coding and risk adjustment assignment as it relates to provider documentation,
Presenting education to coders, providers and/or other caregivers.
CMS regulations, guidelines, NCCI edits, payer rules and other professional billing coding regulations,
Medical terminology, modifiers, ICD-10 CM, CPT and HCPCS guidelines.
Preferred:
2 years in an education position
Certification in one or more of the following from AAPC, AHIMA or other acceptable professional organization.
CPMA or other Medical Auditing certificate
CCDS-O = Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist Outpatient (certification)
CDEO = Certified Documentation Expert – Outpatient (certification)
CDIP = Clinical Documentation Improvement Professional (certification)
CRC = Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (certification)
Some travel required
