Renegade Materials is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.
Locations: 2 Facilities in Miamisburg, OH – 3363 S. Tech Blvd & 10800 Industry Lane
Reports to: Operations Manager
Position Overview: Full-time, (Monday to Friday) - first shift with support of second-shift as required and occasional overtime when required to complete mission critical activities.
Role: At Renegade Materials a skilled Maintenance Technician is essential to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities. This role involves the performing of routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems and ensuring compliance with Renegades safety policies and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role is responsible for maintaining mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems, performing preventive maintenance and responsible for responding to maintenance issues and assigned tasks promptly.
Required Skills
- Verifiable experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools, power tools and maintenance software.
- Experience with MIG and TIG welding highly desired.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, understands and exhibits a “sense of urgency” when mission critical issues arise. Have strong attention to details.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints and other documents.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel and Word.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Education
- High school diploma or GED; technical diploma or certifications is a plus.
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in a relevant field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (i.e. HVAC, welding and or electrical certification) are advantageous.
Expectations – Must be committed to being at work as scheduled and have an exceptional and verifiable attendance record. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to multitask with an emphasis on being well organized, have the ability to meet tight schedules, perform internal maintenance of facilities for all existing and future equipment. Be a team player with an ability to take direction and fully complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Maintenance Shop: Understand and consistently practice 6S protocols, adhere to all safety and PPE requirements and follow OSHA guidelines and regulations as required.
