Essential Job Duties
1. Assists the Business Office Manager with the operations of the business office, in conjunction with facility guidelines and budgetary expectations.
2. Accurately and timely prepares and submits Medicare, insurance and private billing.
3. Records ancillary charges as defined by facility guidelines.
4. Posts payments and charges to resident accounts timely and accurately.
5. Assists with month-end closing to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
6. Assists with overall supervision of the business office and provides guidance to the business office staff in the absence of the Business Office Director.
7. Maintains a positive working relationship with vendors and contractors.
8. Assists with reconciliation of facility check registers, petty cash and patient trust accounts in accordance with company guidelines and federal/state laws and regulations
9. Assists with the preparation of daily deposits.
10. Provides assistance to residents, family members and other visitors.
11. Assists in recordkeeping as directed by Business Office Director.
12. Creates letters, reports and other correspondence on behalf of the business office.
13. Provides assistance with filing of invoices, personnel information, etc.
14. Makes deposits, as needed.
15. Distributes mail to the appropriate source.
16. Participate in a variety of meetings, in the absence of the Business Office Manager.
