Tarantino is searching for an energetic and professional Human Resources Generalist to join the Corporate office in the Houston area. Tarantino is currently one of the fastest growing senior living and multi-family management companies and we’re seeking personalities with a passion for knowledge and a can-do attitude to join our corporate HR team. This position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management in supporting designated geographic regions.
This position carries out responsibilities in pre-employment testing, onboarding, departmental training including new employee orientation and safety training, Workers Compensation, FMLA and develops and produces employee communication materials to improve employee engagement and understanding of company policy and procedures.
ONBOARDING – HUMAN RESOURCES
· Coordinate and communicate with on-site Managers/Directors regarding pre-employment testing for departmental new hires.
· Perform necessary background checks on departmental new hires.
· Follow up with necessary clinics to expedite all pre-employment test results and ensure all results are reported in a timely manner.
· Launch onboarding for new hires and coordinate onboarding process with managers/directors.
· Verify completion of new hires onboarding to ensure payroll processing is completed.
· Ensure all state required employee records are forwarded to Managers/Directors to ensure onsite personnel files comply for site visits.
TRAINING
· Train all new hiring managers on hiring process, onboarding process, payroll process and other HR and company policy and procedures within first week of employment.
· Provide safety orientation with all new property managers upon hire and once a quarter.
· Assist new managers with first payroll processing.
· Follow up with new managers to provide additional training if needed.
· Conduct 30, 60 and 90 Follow Up with departmental new hires.
· Conduct exit interviews.
· Additional training assignments.
WORKERS COMPENSATION, FMLA & LEAVE OF ABSENCES, SAFETY
· Assist Managers/Directors in directing injured Employees to proper clinic or ER for medical attention.
· Report workers compensation claims to appropriate insurance company.
· Follow up with employees on work status, review and maintain return to work records.
· Work with workers compensation adjusters, prepare bona fide job offers for light duty assignments and other documents required by insurance company.
· Communicate with injured employees to ensure all medical appointments are met and proper documentation is received from clinics.
· Handle FMLA and personal Leave of Absences request.
· Process and ensured FMLA required documents are sent and received by due dates within federal guidelines.
· Track and assist employees who are on FMLA or Personal LOA.
· Coordinate safety and other required training to maintain OSHA and multi-state compliance.
· Track and documents monthly safety meetings and other required training for all locations.
Responsibilities

· Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and legal responsibilities
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree preferred or work experience in lieu of degree
· 2+ years of experience working in Human Resources
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
