JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Compliance leads the compliance, regulatory, accreditation and licensing functions for OIC of America. This position will establish and maintain positive working relationships with school management teams, OIC of America national leadership, staff, and external regulators while advising and educating OIC of America and campus teams in the areas of regulatory compliance and regulatory standards. This position is highly tied to the compliance health of the overall organization, school(s). This position will support the affiliate and CTE campus(s) initial and renewal activities including reviewing or creating written and oral communications with the Department of Education, accreditors, and state education agencies to ensure that campuses and affiliates operate in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations, accreditation standards and organizational policies. This role will work with other members of the OIC of America network to develop policies and procedures that ensure compliance and monitor the organization’s activities to ensure that they are in line with these policies and procedures. In addition, this position will advise campus/affiliate management teams in the areas of regulatory compliance and accreditation standards. Conduct operational analyses and provide guidance and feedback based on findings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete and submit program and other regulatory applications and communicate status to school and OICA leadership.
- Provide notifications to states, DOE, accrediting agencies, OIC of America Leadership and school staff related to regulatory approvals to include Title IX and Title IV compliance as it relates to required activities under the Higher Education Act (HEA) – inclusive of Clery, DAAPP, Annual Security Report, SRTK (Student Right to Know), Gainful Employment, etc.
- Maintain the compliance library containing accreditor reports, responses, program and course approvals and other regulatory documentation.
- Complete compliance reviews in marketing (inclusive of catalogs and website), annual outcomes, policy and procedure editing/review, Admissions/FA reviews, etc
- Review correspondence and any required reporting for accuracy, consistency with standard curriculum and school catalogs, quality, compliance, and strategic impact.
- Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset by being proactive, resourceful, and resilient – while being able to adjust and change without difficulty and with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility.
- Proactively ensure adequate level of understanding of accreditation/licensure and requirements among OIC of America and campus(s) and affiliate locations.
- Coordinate the development of tools, training, processes, and procedures relating to the accreditation/licensing functions of the school – train applicable stakeholders, as necessary.
- Coordinate any complaint investigation and response between accreditation agencies, impacted parties, school(s) and OIC of America leadership.
- Prepare schools for regulatory visits – conduct a readiness visit before any regulatory visit and represent OIC of America during any visit.
- Regularly study and alert OIC of America leadership on regulatory call for comments, proposals, meeting notices and/ or any notices that could affect our position in relation to applicable states, DOE and accreditors.
- Partner with campus management to prepare for and represent OIC of America at external board meetings where action items appear on the agenda.
- Coordinate with OIC of America Leadership to assess school(s) and affiliate ability and performance on accreditation/licensing issues and requirements.
- Develop and conduct accreditation workshops as necessary for campus management to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Evaluate, and/or develop in partnership other OICA leadership regulatory/academic policies to ensure compliance with regulator’s standards and requirements, to ensure the timely implementation of consistent institutional standards and best practices and to facilitate the highest quality of educational practices to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Attend and actively participate in professional association meetings and conferences at the local, county, state, and national levels.
- Monitor the organization’s activities to ensure that they are in line with these policies and procedures.
- Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans to address these issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Partner with others within school(s), affiliates to ensure integration of regulatory compliance in all related activities and functions to include emergency preparedness planning (for both accreditation and Clery), enterprise risk management, OSHA instructor compliance requirements, etc.
- Coordinate with OIC of America leadership related to annual budget process.
- Comply with all OIC of America Policies.
- Other related responsibilities and duties as assigned and or otherwise appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree preferred
· 10+ years of private postsecondary regulatory and accreditation experience required.
· Superior written communication and oral presentation skills required.
· Good people skills with the ability to understand the need for diplomacy and tact.
· Displays a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
· Excellent computer skills in spreadsheets, word processing and other software
· Ability to maintain current knowledge on accreditation standards and changes. Read, analyze, and interpret regulations, guidelines, and organization policies.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This role operates in a professional environment on a remote or hybrid schedule with travel occasionally up to 25% of the time.
This position can be performed remotely but will follow a hybrid schedule for those in the Philadelphia Metro Area
