Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist & Logistics Coordinator to join our team at our Tucker, Georgia manufacturing facility. This position involves direct communication with customers and carriers, order processing and tracking, and scheduling/support for our logistics team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for order inquiries and updates.
- Order Entry: Accurately enter and manage orders in multiple software applications.
- Scheduling Orders: Efficiently manage and maintain the orders in scheduling and shipping. This includes scheduling Company (SWP) drivers daily, and booking pickups with outside carriers.
- Product Availability: Monitor inventory and understand criteria for what is available to ship or not
- Freight Management: Maintain updated freight pricing and conduct follow-ups post-pickup to ensure on time delivery.
- Office Support: Assist with document scanning and provide general office support as needed. Answer phones and direct callers appropriately.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Problem solving abilities with a strong desire to learn.
- Detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- General comfort with basic mathematical skills, data entry and data management.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize job demands, demonstrating flexibility with fluctuating paces of work.
- Familiarity with transportation and shipping (flatbed, LTL)
Working Conditions:
This is an in-office position. The role requires standard office hours with no weekend work, no major holiday work, and no physical demands.
Reporting Structure:
The Customer Service Specialist & Logistics Coordinator will report directly to the Customer Service Supervisor. In addition, collaboration with sales representatives, customers, the Fleet Manager, and production staff are required.
