Nichiha USA Inc. is an innovative, highly technical cement fiber manufactory company, with two production facilities and is an industry leader in fiber cement processing. Nichiha is seeking a Maintenance Electrician who will join our team producing high quality products at our Macon, GA facility.
SAFETY:
- Understand and follow all safety proceduresCurrent on all safety training
Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, earplugs)
- Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.
- Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Complete General Plant Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to all OSHA and safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Install electrical connections to equipment.
- Use Allen Bradley & Mitsubishi PLC Systems.
- Perform all electrical repairs & general maintenance.
- Run conduit and pull wires as necessary.
- Ability to use a laptop to troubleshoot PLC problems.
- Experience with multi access robot applications.
- Troubleshoot and conduct basic programming on industrial controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot analog signals.
- Ability to use an amp, OHM, Mega OHM & Volt meters
- Firm understanding of troubleshooting AC/DC variable speed drives.
- Repair all electrical panels including MCC.
- Use a laptop to troubleshoot PLC problems with assistance of Control personnel.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed by management.
SKILLS:
- Must understand solid-state circuitry and 110V, 220V, 440V, and 480V systems.
- Ability to size electrical panel-based components for install; ability to size components and wiring based on electrical schematic; ability to size line voltage and transformer voltage; ability to build electrical automation enclosure based on schematics and plant requirements.
- Ability to diagnose problems with programmable controllers on equipment and operate electrical testing equipment and machining equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret safety documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to complete work orders and enter the required paperwork into a computer.
- Able to interpret PLC ladder logic, Allen Bradley PLC systems.
- Working knowledge of Servo Systems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 plus years of electrical experience in a large manufacturer.
- 7 years experience with industrial electrical systems.
- Able to interpret PLC ladder logic, Allen Bradley PLC systems.
- Working knowledge of Servo Systems.
- Computer literate and ability to use the Microsoft programs.
- Ability to read electrical prints/schematics.
- Able to work well with others.
- Must be able to work any shift and work overtime with short notice.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATES REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Completed technical training or an apprenticeship program. Or equivalent experience.
- Technical training in Industrial Instrumentation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and to push-pull up to 75lbs.
- Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
- Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
- Must be able to work in a plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
