POSITION SUMMARY: The Relief Nursery Program Manager will provide day-to-day leadership in the Klamath Falls Relief Nursery, including coordination with the Oregon Association of Relief Nurseries (OARN), supervision of some staff, develop and support of the Leadership council, and maintain community partnerships and relationships.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the program including compliance with replication and operational standards and federal state and local regulations
- Work with the Area Director to ensure that the program stays within budget parameters and meets performance metrics identified contracts
- Promote and support active and broad participation by volunteers in all areas of the relief nursery
- Ensure that internal and external data input, tracking and reporting is done in an accurate and timely manner
- Convene, cultivate and support the active involvement of the advisory council and other committees in supporting the mission of the relief nursery
- Serve as the contact for local contractors and other community partnerships
- Meet with the Area Director on a regular basis ensuring that the Area Director is aware of all-important factors of the program
- Provide sound working relationships and cooperative agreements with to the greater community, organizations, leadership and program advisory council and churches
- Collecting and sharing stories and photos to support community engagement activities
- Work with the Area Director and other staff to ensure that the program is adequately funded (Grant writing and Management with the assistance of the District Director and advancement team, events, individual asks, RFP’s and other strategic partnerships)
- Attend key, community, regional, and agency meetings, represent and publicize the agency in and out of the office including speeches, presentations, and news articles
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 years of related experience; in areas of program management, budgeting and staff supervision
- Bachelor’s in Social Science or Early Childhood Development or related field; substantial relevant experience will be considered in place of degree
- Credentials may be required depending on individual program or location requirements.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Intermediate mastery of business applications and productivity suites
- Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers.
- Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle

- Interacts with others and performs tasks in-person and through the use of technology, with moderate periods of stationary activity and moderate periods of increased physical activity including and not limited to moving classroom equipment, and general office tasks
- Moves equipment/materials weighing up to 40 pounds; may be responsible for moving/carrying children weighing up to 40 pounds
- Travels between worksites regularly; responsible for transporting clients in personal and/or agency vehicle, which requires valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and motor vehicle records clearance
- Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, client home/community settings, outdoor settings in varying weather conditions, and faith-based settings such as churches
- Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
