Our client is a managed services provider specializing in the education sector. Based in NYC, a city with a diverse array of schools, they aim to empower these institutions through technology. Their services include hardware procurement, network design, technical support, device deployments, and more. They are looking for a Low Voltage Technician who will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure. This is an onsite position based in the New York City metropolitan area.
Low Voltage Technician’s Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and related systems.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and support staff.
- Plan and manage infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
Low Voltage Technician’s Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification is required for this role.
- Manage the RFQ, RFI, and submittals processes and systems.
- Understand and apply AIA billing principles for project accounting and cost control.
- Must have a vehicle and Valid driver’s license/acceptable driving record.
